Learning the Wonderful Art Of Oil Painting
The Oil Painting Class meets Friday mornings from 10 am – 12:30 pm. The painting classes are part of a series including Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced painting. Students will learn the fundamentals for great painting. Each class builds on the previous one to help you improve your painting. Start your painting journey today!
*Those who haven’t taken classes before will begin with Beginning Painting 1 class*
What Makes This Class Different?
This class is for anyone whether you have painted before or even those who haven’t painted. In this class you will paint from real- life objects. The Fundamentals are Powerful Tools; you will learn about your materials and brushes along with using a limited palette of paints. Blending is Paramount; students will learn the techniques to apply and blend paint. Painting, It’s All About Color; using the color wheel and simple color principles, we will a learn to mix and match color. Value is the Key to painting; you will learn to identify and paint using accurate values. Putting It All Together; students will use their skills to create simple still life paintings using all the concepts taught in the class.
